Warriors on the Water

So Fred got up at 3:30 this morning...he's nuts! But, the guys had to meet...get on the bus...and head over the bridge to South Carolina for the Warriors on the Water Bass Tournament! They actually had a live pod cast of the launch...but, there was just no way I was getting up that early. The weigh in wasn't till later in the afternoon, so the lovins and I just hung out at home...then we grabbed Starbucks, alittle fast food and we too, headed up to S.C.! It was such a gorgeous afternoon...however that didn't last long!

By the time we made it up to Hardeeville, there was still about 2 hours left in the tourney...so imagine our surprise when I caught a glimps of Fred's new FAVE Dodgers hat approaching the docks! But, once again...my hubby was to the rescue! Even though there was a tournament to be won...he and the angler, that he was partnered with decided to tow in a dad & his kiddo's who were stalled on the water. [they were not the only ones to see the stranded boaters...but they were the only ones to help]

What you didn't see was that it rained...I mean...poured on us. And of course it didn't start till ALL the soldiers and anglers were out of the water and all they had were 3 measly little tents set up...and 1 was filled with food. So needless to say we got soaked. But, the kids had a blast playing in the rain...only in the South is it warm enough when it rains to run around barefoot in shorts and a tee shirt! Anyways, Fred didn't catch anything...but he had such a good time...so much fun, that he and Ry are waking up early and heading out to do some more fishing tomorrow!
