Oatland Island

Today is such a gorgeous day here in Savannah...we just HAD to get outa the house! So we decided to put our Family Membership @ Oatland Island to good use...we actually get plenty of use out of it, since Oatland Isl. is so close and the stroll through the woods is just beautiful! [especially when the sand gnats aren't out...like today] The one thing we should've done was pack a picnic lunch, but we opted to grab Starbucks instead! [You can take the girl outa the city...]
Daddy & Ry Guy Slingin' it w/Lambie
Back in the stroller, playing peek-a-boo with Daddy Probably the best exhibit is the Wolf Encounter
The boys love it!
I swear they could sit there and watch the wolves all afternoon if I'd let them!
This part always makes me nervous [no guard rails] but, it's nice to get out of the shade of the trees and walk in the sunshine through the marsh!
I forgot to mention that Kailee's friend Sydney came with us!
They ended up ditching us and walking around by themselves for a bit.
[The cell phone is already coming in handy]
[Bok Bok]
Daddy bird Ryan sitting on his eggs
Lambie petting the sheep
Ry has got to be the best big brother, ever!
...and now it's time to go home!

Where a kid can be a kid...

...and parents just want to shoot themselves! Haha...ok! It's not THAT bad, plus it's great seeing the kids having so much fun! The funny thing is that I learned a few things about my kiddo's.
Like...how each of my kids eat their pizza differently!
Lauren likes to pick off the toppings, then eat the crust!
Ryan is a sideways pizza eater!
And Kailee likes to shove as much pizza in there as possible!

The wheels on the bus go round and round!

[Ugh, now that song is gonna be in my head!]

Kailee working on her cat-like Ninja reflexes!

This seemed like a good idea at the time...wait till she's in HS and I show it to all her friends!

Ryan & Daddy playing air hockey...I'm pretty sure, Ry let him win!

Haha, they are both concentrating so hard!

Who let the mouse ride shotgun!?

It's no fun when your thighs stick to the plastic and you have to inch down the slide!

Ryan playing in the tubes...the reason hand sanitizer was invented!

If only we could keep him caged 99% of the time!

Time to count the tickets...

YES! $60 later and we walk out with 2 .10 cent rings, a cardboard eye patch & a couple of lollipops!

But, who cares cause they had a ton of fun!

*Mommy is now ready for a big glass of Sangria!*

Bugaboo 101

Say what you want about the Bugaboo. Believe me, I know they aren't every one's cup of tea! Too trendy...Too Pricey...down right ugly! But, it amazes me how functional & convenient they truly are.
Friday, we took the kids to see Bedtime Stories w/the hilarious Adam Sandler. [Cute movie BTW] But, what do you do with a go go go, non stop 19 month old!? Besides try to book a last minute sitter!? How do you keep them from being folded into the seat [scratch that] How do you keep them seated, period!?
This is how...
The removable, stand alone seat is brilliant! It kept her seated the entire movie & even provided alittle boost. [not that it was needed, the theatre actually has nice stadium seating] Anyways, it has come in handy more than once...Not only is it great for holding down the corner of your beach blanket on a windy day...
But, it also gives your child a place to hide
when they suddenly decide sand is the enemy!

Alright, well this is my random blog for the week!

~Merry Christmas~

As you can tell the kids made the 'Nice' list! Everyone got what they were wishing for...and then some. It is the most awesome thing to watch the kids open their Christmas presents. It's better than any gift that could've been under that tree with my name on it! Ryan opened the very first present this year!
It didn't take him long to catch onto the idea of ripping off wrapping paper!Kailee opening her first present...After she opened this...it was no surprise that Mario Kart was some where in the pile of Christmas presents! Who doesn't love the Limited Too!? Lambie opening her first Christmas present...
SHOES!? Seriously people!?
Ok, the presents are getting alittle better... Who knew such a little table, could create such big headaches!?Ya, basically our family keeps Razor in business!
Lambies first scooter...it won't be long till she's RipStik'n!
Hurry up Daddy!
Breakfast followed the unwrapping of presents! Red & green Christmas pancakes...they were deliciously festive! Even though mommy was seriously ready for a nap & daddy was itching to play his new PS3 games...we got the kiddo's dressed and headed outside, so they could test out their new toys! She has the standing on it part down... Kailee on the RipStik...w/her new phone permanently embedded in her hand! We had planned on having a quiet Christmas dinner at home...especially after hosting Thanksgiving dinner. But, we received an invite to Jen & Preston's for alittle Christmas shindig. Perfect! Who doesn't love the idea of no cooking!? Fred just couldn't help himself though and ended up baking a delicious Christmas ham! All in all, I have to say that we had a wonderful Christmas...the only thing that could've made it better would've been being back home in Cali with the rest of our Family! ~Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays~

Twas the night before Christmas

Christmas Eve is pretty traditional for us!
We started out the evenings festivities by baking Santa some cookies... Yes, I think a Charlie's Angel pose is required
when taking a picture with anything that slightly resembles a gun!
Always our big helpers
Poor Lauren, just kinda wondering what's going on...
Mmm Mmm Cookie Dough
Kailee & Daddy
[Killin' time while the dough chills]
Aghhhh, PILLOW FIGHT!!!
Mommy & her girls
The next part is no secret to our older kids...
Time to open our Jammies!
[Lambie first]
YES! Bumble Bee jammies!Kailee & her snuggly soft snowmenDaddy & his man-jama's
Haha...they both ended up with snowmen! All of us in our comfy cozy Jammies!Daddy had a surprise...1 more gift for the Family!
[Fred Clause...such a cute movie]
Ya, we're dorks, but boy do we have fun!

Enough goofin around...

Time to put the cookies in the oven!

Enjoying the fruits of their labor!

[Hot Cocoa & Yummy Cookies]Of course...alittle somethin' somethin' for the big man in red!

The kids stayed up MUCH later than we anticipated, but we got them all upstairs and tucked into bed just as NORAD was tracking Santa over Florida!

With the kids sound asleep...it was time for 'Santas little helpers' to work their magic!
