This is the 2nd time, since we've lived here that a house in our neighborhood has been struck by lightning. Luckily, both times the families escaped unscathed! As scary and unfortunate as it is, it all makes for an exciting afternoon...we don't get much 'action' in these parts!

After things settled down, I let Ryan come down and check out the fire trucks...
Please keep the Young family in your thoughts & prayers! Amy has been amazingly strong...I don't know how she's manage to keep her cool, but she has. They are temporarily in lodging, but will be relocating to another house on our street. Her husband [who is in Fred's company] is being sent back here...they had just finished R&R and he was on his way back to Afghanistan when this all happened.
