Tuesday (9-22)

Yesterday was a pretty jam packed day. After getting the lovins off to school, Lambie & I headed to storytime, where we met up with Naima & Jad. Lauren was so brave and volunteered to go up front [though I don't think that was actually her plan, I think she was just curious...but got suckered in]

Showing off her hen After storytime, we grabbed some lunch @ Pepito's...yum! Then we grabbed Starbucks and let the kiddo's romp around in the softplay ...and Barnes & Noble. Lauren and I, ran home and met the kids getting off the bus. Brooke surprised Ryan, it's been forevers since we last saw her...the visit was long overdue! The kids won a few toys out of a machine at the restaurant...Lambie went straight for the candy bracelet that turned her hot pink.

So after the park, dinner and Barnes & Noble...again with Brooke, we called it a night and made it home just in time for baths & bed! What a day...

Beach Bums...

It's officially the last weekend of summer, so what better way to send it off than a trip to the Beach!? I wish Fred was here, enjoying the gorgeous weather...but, he's having fun at good ole Mother Rucker!

The ride home was interesting...Lambie got sick in the car and has been feeling like poop ever since, so we had a pretty low key day...resting up for the week ahead!

Playing catch-up...

So going to bed at 10pm is not conducive to my serial blogging...which usually gets done after the kids go to bed...but I barely have the energy to switch the laundry over and start a load of dishes. All thanks to the lovins and I feeling like poop this week. But, we still managed to squeeze in Storytime downtown w/some of our favorite friends.

When the singing and reading stories is over they have a big bucket of puppets to play with...Ryan picked a giraffe! After storytime we headed to Macaroni Grill for lunch. Most of it was spent playing musical chairs...lol but there was quite a few of us...Melissa, Jessica, Naima, Chaila and myself + our little lovins that we needed to squeeze in! Once we finished up lunch we ventured over to the soft play...

...and that was our Thursday!

Friday, I surprised the lovins with a trip to the movies.

Which they loved. It was not so much like the book, except for a couple scene's at the end...but still good! Lambie is such a popcorn hog...but, its so cute when she says 'Pop pop' [popcorn]

Well, we just got home from the beach...those pics will hopefully be up tomorrow. But, who knows, it's 6:30 and I am SO ready for bed! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Our little afternoon adventure...

We had a normal kinda morning...getting the kids off to school, hanging out w/Lambie, Starbucks and then off to our lunch/play date with Naima & Jad! But, a couple days ago, I got this sudden urge to wash the Zapp & Xplory seats...well, I left the Stokke in the car and completely forgot to put the seat back on...duh. So when we got to Forsyth, I realised that Lambie was just going to have to walk. It's seriously a gorgeous day here...alittle humid, but there is a nice breeze...so it's a perfect day for a stroll through Forsyth. I guess I never realised how big Forsyth is...we usually only make it to the playground, which is apparently only 1/2 way through. Anyways, she walked through Forsyth...through 2 squares and down a half a block!

Just to illustrate how far she really trekked! Such a trooper...just don't tell Fred...he might make me get rid of some strollers!

We finally made it to Soho Cafe...restaurant/art gallery. Awesome atmosphere...it's really eclectic, perfect for our laid back luncheon! Lambie decided to try something new with her PB & J! She took her Teddy Grahams and scooped the inside of her sandwich out, then ate the Teddy Graham!? So strange...

...and then when she ran outta Teddy Grahams, the PB & J ended up smeared all over her face! ...and the exciting part...

Right after our food arrives I get a call from Fred that Ry has a fever and has to be picked up from school...[something Fred would normally do, especially in this situation, but he's in Alabama] So we quickly finish our lunch and started the hike back to the car. We made it through Madison Sqr. after being distracted by an adorable lab puppy and then I realised...at this pace, Ryan could take the bus home from school...so we said goodbye to Naima & Jad, hoped in a pedicab and sped away!

If we weren't in such a rush to get Ry, it would've been nice to ride around downtown!

We are home now...Ry is sleeping it off, his fever is gone...so hopefully, he'll feel better in the morning. Cause some of our FAVORITE people are in town...and we are getting together with them tomorrow! YAY!
