Christmas part II

Since Kailee spent the Holiday's at her Dad's this year, we let her open a few of her presents before she left...stuff she could use on her trip [video games, clothes..etc.] and of course her new MyTouch, that Fred just HAD to give her before he left...in NOVEMBER! LOL But, we kept their 'BIG' presents & a couple other small ones for the 'Mini-Christmas' we would have when she got back! With Fred in Afghanistan, I just wanted to make sure the kids got to celebrate some form of Christmas together. Plus, with the mem card from the actual Christmas messed up...it unknowingly gave me the opportunity to re-snap pics of the kids opening Christmas gifts!
Before: just to give you an idea of how big this is...the box on end was about 5' tall! Almost finished...
On to Ryan's bike...
I love slave labor! The tires are SO cool...I LOVE his bike!
I think he loves it too...Loving the new scooter... Just a couple pics of them opening presents...
Ry & Lambie were dressed. Kailee's lazy butt was still in Jammies at noon!
Time to test out the new toys...Brrrrr...it was freezing outside!Lambie's present came a day late and a dollar short!
But, she didn't care cause all she wanted to do was ride Kailee's iMod!We all know I am anti-character...but I just couldn't resist Hello Kitty!

So...I guess it's safe to say that the kids made the 'Nice' list, again! They LOVE their presents, all Ryan wants to do is ride his new bike. Thank god, I finally found his helmet! I'll update w/more pics of them on their new toys...it's really been too cold to play outside, especially on Kailee's scooter that zips around at 15mph! Oh and there are a couple gifts from Uncle Danny that they have yet to open...mental note: Keep him away from the electrical tape & grocery bags! ;] Hope everyone is having a fabulous week...The kids are having a blast with Dan, Ryan is his biggest fan and I guess I'm enjoying having him here too...shhhh...just don't tell him! We have to maintain our brother/sister love/hate relationship!

Recent & Random

Friday, before going out with Brooke, Tamp & the guys...the kids and I ran some errands & did alittle shopping! Ryan was begging for a haircut...which just seems alittle odd. A kid asking for a haircut!? But, we were at the Mall, so I took him to Master Cuts...which worked out nicely, cause I picked up a BIG ole bottle of Biolage. Yay, that should last me!
[Before] [After] Chillen... Sippin' Starbucks
She had to have the fruit cup...even though we JUST had breakfast! LOL
...and the rest of the day was spent, getting a mani~pedi and then out on the town! [see previous post]
Saturday was pretty mellow...we took a trip to Barnes & Noble, then met Brooke & her Mom for a quick lunch! Ryan got a pair of the classic K Swiss and suckered me into a giant Transformer book...how do they do it!? And right before we have our mini-Christmas!
Sunday however...was spent FREEZING our tooshies off at Ryan's hockey! First off, it was 24 degrees when we got into the car...the ice didn't melt till we hit Hwy 16. [Basically, almost downtown] I was driving through this ridiculous basketball sized hole in the ice...thank god, no one else is crazy enough to be up at 7:30 on a Sunday...so the roads were pretty empty! This is Ryan's last day of ice hockey. I certainly won't miss the early mornings...but I will miss seeing him play on 'real ice'!
Ryan taking the face off
Brrr...keeping warm!
After hockey, we met up with Tamp for breakfast at J. Christophers!
YUMMY! Messy boys!
Lambie keeping her baby warm. Such a good Mommy!
Pic #3 of Ryan on Tamp's shoulders.
[always a classic]
Well, that's about it! Now, I'm just taking a break from straightening up the house. Dan & Kailee fly in tonight. I'm SO excited...can't wait! Gonna make the kids some dinner and then hit the road. Tomorrow is back to reality...I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break!

Out on the town... {New Years Day}

Tamp flew into Sav'h for New Years w/a couple of his buddies from Alabama. LOL Not like normal people on a commercial airline, like they actually flew the planes that got them here...such a bizarre concept! But, I seriously can not wait for Fred & I to be able to do that! Woo Hoo! Anyways, since I stayed home w/my Lovins on New Years Eve...we decided to get together for sushi the next night! YUM!
[If you know me...you know I stuck to teriyaki chicken!]
After Wasabi's we headed to Wild Wings. Surprisingly, City Market was like a ghost town. I'm sure everyone was recuperating from the previous night...LOL Fine by me, I'm not a fan of crowds!
I think her tractors sexy...When you give a guy a camera... Me & my Brookie
[showing 'em how it's done]
Me, Brooke, Paul, Scott and Tamp
[minus Tim, who was taking a night off...LOL]
So going out with Tamp, who is one of my Hubby's best friends...REALLY made me miss having the hubster home! We always have so much fun together, especially when friends, food and booze are involved. We really are lucky to have found such amazing people in this city...I can't thank the Army enough for sending us, though they clearly didn't do it for our benefit! LOL 2 months down...just a couple more till R&R! Tamp & I are already making plans for a night out when Fred gets back...YAY!

Chuck E. Cheese

Wednesday, we met up with Shawna, her girls and grandson's at Chuck E. Cheese...for some food & fun! Not exactly sure how I got roped into that one?! The food is 'eh' and the place is always chaotic...but, the Lovins sure do have a blast and I guess that makes it worth it! ;]
Pig tail braids...her hair is crazy long!
.TICKETS. Go horsey Go Air hockey, anyone?!
See...fun!
Woo Hoo...my redneck babies!
.Winners.
[forget the kids...these are MY tickets]
Shawna's fam!
Thanks for the invite, Shawna...it really was a great time! Ryan LOVES playing with James...even though they butt heads often. I can't wait for the boys next visit...[it'll give Ryan something to do]
