Kailee's 1st volleyball game!

With softball season over, Kailee decided to go out for volleyball. It's her first time ever playing the sport, so we are very proud of her for making the team...again, she is just 1 of a couple 6th graders! Wed. they played Southwest, won their first match, but lost the last two. However, the team came back from a dismal 12-5 deficit...to lose by just 3 points!
Unfortunately for Kailee her 1st ever serve in a game was the other teams game point! She was a little upset, but held it together well. Their next game is Monday, so hopefully I'll be able to get alittle video and definitely more pics! After the game we were a all hungry...so we headed to Fuddruckers for some yummy burgers!
Oh...funny story: Brooke came over to hang out and go to Kailee's game. When we got to the game, I was getting the stroller out, so Brooke...thinking she was being helpful decided to get Lambie out of her carseat. We headed into the gym...watched the game and as we were walking out of the school, we realised she had left Lambies door WIDE OPEN! LOL FIRED! Luckily, nothing was missing and we all had a good laugh!

Happy Birthday, Leslie!

I was in need of a Mommies Night Out this week and what better to spend the night, then celebrating a Birthday?! Leslie is like my 'mom away from home'...she was our FRG leader at 2/3 and an inspiration! So I was thrilled to get the invite to Molly Mcpherson's on Monday night.

Her adorable grandson! Her gorgeous girls. Blowing out the candle on her Care Bear cake...lol It was a wonderful night out, it was so great seeing the old 2/3 girls. I can't wait to get together with them again...

Childrens Book Festival & Brooke

.200th blog post.
Saturday was very eventful. We got up early to take Ryan to hockey. Stopped at Starbucks, where we met up w/Brooke...Yay! It's been forevers since we saw her last. Ry was stoked, Brooke is his fave!
And then after hockey we packed up and headed down to Forsyth for the Childrens Book Festival...it's always lots of fun, the kids get to make crafts, food and there are authors and illustrators to autograph the books. Of course we headed straight for the food booths...cotton candy, YUM! [OMG, this stuff stuck to everything!]

Vinnie Van Go-Go's

I am really glad we got outa the house when we did and enjoyed some of the fabulous weather we had over the weekend, cause Tropical Storm Ida is coming and it sounds like a lot of rain! BOO! We had planned on having a picnic @ Forsyth, but when pizza downtown became an option...the lovins leaped at the idea! And pizza at Vinnie's isn't pizza...it's DELISH! There is a reason people gladly stick around for a 45 minute wait, just to get a table!
...being sweet during our wait! ...the not so patient one!
