Shuman Sports Banquet 2010

With the school year coming to a close, it was time for the annual Sports Banquet. For Shuman, this is their last ever sports banquet because next year the Academy is moving to Garrison and Shuman will become an elementary school. No more Trojans! :[

Fred even got a plaque, for volunteering as Asst. Coach during softball. This little guy was hitching a ride on our windshield... We are all super proud of Kai, she never ceases to amaze us!

Another Goodbye...

Well...it's about that time again! We just said goodbye to a couple of our favorite neighbors earlier this year, as they headed up to Ft. Drum and now we are doing it again...it's crazy to imagine that we have been here in Savannah for over 4 years! Stability & Army aren't usually 2 things that go hand in hand, but we've been extremely fortunate...however with that, we've watched many families come and go. This time it was the Mc Gee's who are heading off to bigger & better things...get the couch ready Melissa, cause we're a comin'! ;]

We spent our last day w/them doing the usual...

Starbucks, softplay, shopping & lunch! ...and since Ryan was at school all day, I gladly offered to babysit so that they could play together one last time! Shhhh...don't tell his Mom! Awwww...goodbyes!

They are so goofy...

Who knows...it's a small Army, I'm sure it won't be long till we see them again!

Slightly more serious than the usual, light hearted fun the blog is accustomed to...Blame the deployment, the hormones or the pride I have for my Father, my Uncles, my Brothers, my Husband and their service to this country! Today is not about the sales or the beginning of summer, it is about remembering the brave who have fallen...and frankly, one day is just not enough.

The best way to spend a Saturday

Saturday had some random weather! LOL We heard it was pouring off & on in one half the city, while it was nice & sunny [with bouts of overcast] in others. We were lucky enough to be on the nice sunny, breezy side...enjoying an afternoon in Forsyth, with a couple of our favorite locals...Chaila & Davis!

I honestly can't think of a better way to spend 6 hours on a Saturday! I definitely needed the R&R and the wonderful 'Mommy talk'! ;] I can't wait to see what else the weekend has in store!
